Truly, would that I could, Vesp. I am afraid I find myself a bit indisposed at the moment and I’m uncertain when next I’ll be able to stand for long periods of time. I fear the chill is having its way with me.
» It was a bad joke cause you said you were indisposed and might be unable to stand. Definitely one of those "if you have to explain the joke, it's not funny." How about you explain what kind of aid'd be appreciated instead?
[ And the lag isn't going unnoticed, just uncommented on - for now. Joshua's not normally slow and brief, so Prompto's putting together a picture of a bad flu, when even texting feels like a gargantuan task.
Which is why he's taking a little longer himself, trying to keep the number of tangents and questions to a minimum. ]
» I got all the time in this world for a friend, but I need three things first -
» 1. I don't know which apartment is yours.
» 2. You got any allergies?
» 3. What do you like? Try to keep it broad - I know what a tomato is, but meats you better keep to red meat, fowl, and fish. I haven't found any dualhorn steak or cockatrice legs here so I kinda struggle on knowing what's what.
» 1. I am a few doors down from Clive’s. Although, I think Clive told me the proper term for these are ‘dorms’.
» 2. Not that I am aware of, no.
» 3. I prefer poultry, fish, then red, although meat can spoil quickly and I am not so capable a cook even when at the height of health. I prefer sweeter things. Honestly, I shall accept anything without carrots. If they are present I can pick around them though, so that isn’t a hardline limit.
» You're welcome, now stop saying thank you. I think most people just call them apartments? They're kinda like dorms though, I get it.
» Yeah? I like sweets and junk food too, but if you're sick, I don't think I should be loading you up on cookies and chocolate. They'd keep better than raw meat, sure - but I'm not bringing you raw meat. That'd be so mean. Oh here, Prae, lemme help you by bringing you *ingredients* good luck with that.
» I'm bringing you stuff you don't need to cook, or you can just nuke in the microwave. I'll stick them in the fridge so they don't go bad if they're not shelf stable.
» Gods you're as bad as Noct, you know that? Carrots'll be kept to a minimum.
» I can't have you losing morale, so I guess it's cookies and choco all the way down.
» What???
» Okay. We're talking about different things. Probably a lot of different things. "Shelf stable" means that a food isn't going to go bad on a shelf in a pantry instead of a fridge. I'm gonna throw in that a fridge - short for refrigerator - is like a very cold pantry that uses electricity to keep it cold. Think of it as like the Dominant of fruit cellars.
» The apartment building doesn't have a stable. If you DIDN'T think I meant Cloud's ranch, I need to know where you are in *actual* facts, not in distance to Clive.
» You may one day get tired of explaining things to me, I fear.
» The people from Valisthea use ice to keep things cold, rather than electricity… Or is this similar to how one may create light through lightning?
» I don’t know where Clive is; I haven’t seen him. But I am in my apartment, on the first floor, a few doors down from Clive’s apartment. The other apartments I left the doors open to when I took the blankets out of them. So, there should only be three doors closed on the first level of apartments. Mine, Clive’s, and the one next to Clive’s which Cidolfus uses on occasion.
» Not gonna happen. You'll get tired of me being a know-it-all first. Or you'll start explaining ruins in revenge. But I'd like that, so I'm still winning this one.
» yeah, like that. A fridge is a machine that takes in power and uses it to chill the air. Some of them can make ice, too.
[ A selfie, sorta. It's got about the top left quarter of Prompto's face - enough to see the quirked eyebrow and a curve in his cheek cause he's smiling, but the shot's angled to catch the first floor hallway of the apartment building. There's at least ten doors. They're all closed. ]
» Joshua. Buddy. I will knock on every one of these doors if you don't give me more to work with.

» I suppose using the phrase “is having its way with me” might also lend to that impression…
[ Still, that unusual amount of time ellipsis time continues. ]
» As for the matter of aid… if you have any free time you are willing to spend procuring some food that will keep for me it would be a great help.

» Cookies and chocolate are excellent for morale when ill. A not small number of ingredients can be eaten on their own…not raw meat, but I digress.
» I…what? I do hate to admit this, but I am not certain I can make a trip to the stables and back safely.
